Three Years AFib-Free; 2013 Trekking Reservations Made

Nov 13, 2012 is the 3-year anniversary of my ablation and becoming AFib-free.  YOWZA!  Thank you Dr. Marrouche and CARMA Center.

This weekend I completed a 2-hour walk up three

long, steep hills in our neighborhood (and in the

midle of a huge snowstorm), without having to stop

once to catch my breath. Among other training adventures,

I climbed 4,000'+ on Mt. Timpanogos at the end of the

summer. My heart just continues to get stronger and stronger.

We are making our reservations for next summer’s segment of Via Alpina.

Bob and I will start by celebrating

our 30th wedding anniversary (6/19/13)

at the Chateau de Picomtal. Then we begin

our trek from Vallouise, the lovely mountain

town where we ended in 2011.

From Vallouise, France, the plan is to hike 30+ days north, ending the year’s segment in Switzerland.  Average 10 miles, 3500’ elevation gain per day.  Kicking into full training mode …  Getting so excited …
