Community Outreach
Our goal is to empower women of all ages with the knowledge to improve their health and the health of their families.
A resource that we promote in our outreach is the Eccles Health Sciences Library-Utahealthnet -
Our activities in 2007-2009 were focused on a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Women's Health - titled UWIN (Utah Women's Health Information Network.
2010 - 2016 focuses us on another grant from the Department of Human services, Office on Women's Health - "Coalition for a Healthier Community". We are one of 10 awardees across the country. We are working with a grassroots coalition - The Community Faces of Utah (CFU)- to promote a healthy lifestyle intervention in 5 ethnic populations - training community wellness coaches with a preventive health approach.
