The Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research & Training Institute (CVRTI) studies cardiac function with a translational focus. Our research provides a highly integrated approach to the study of cardiac electrophysiology, ion transport, structural and functional remodeling of excitation-contraction coupling in heart failure, proteomics and epigenetics of heart failure, metabolomics of myocardial ischemia and cardiac arrest, and mitochondral function.

Labs

CVRTI faculty have over 9 labs that focus on multiple aspects of cardiac function.

Research Activities

Researchers at CVRTI have published over eight hundred articles, books, book chapters, and other research results.

Resources & Equipment

We draw on resources of cutting-edge technical capabilities, computing, and a machine electronic shop.
