Graduate Student

Tian received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from National University of Malaysia. In 2014 she joined the molecular biology program at the University of Utah and she joined the Ayer Lab in the same year. Tian is interested in understanding the mechanistic regulation of MondoA and TXNIP in response to cellular nutrient sensing. Tian likes to do Zumba when she is not working at her bench.

Mallory Thomas

Senior Lab Specialist

Mallory received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Pennsylvania State University in 2015. She began working as a lab specialist in the Ayer Lab in 2018. She is responsible for the mouse breeding colony, general lab practices, and managing the Ayer Lab. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and all things outdoors.
