Interprofessional Education

We aim to to develop the premier IPE program in the nation that equips health professions trainees with essential interprofessional competencies to lead the transformation of US healthcare.

According to the World Health Organization, interprofessional education is when “students from 2 or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes” (2010).

We provide training — including direct clinical experiences and simulation-based training — for approximately 500 students at the Colleges of Health, Nursing, and Pharmacy, and Social Work, as well as the School of Dentistry and the School of Medicine. We also offer elective courses for credit.
