The University of Utah is located in the North East corner of the Salt Lake Valley. Most commutes to the University are within 30 minutes or less and several neighborhoods are as close as five minutes away. Many faculty, staff, and students live in the surrounding neighborhoods which include The Avenues, 15th & 15th, Sugarhouse, and the Foothill Drive area. In addition to easy commutes, the University is just 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and adjacent to the foothills of the Wasatch mountains which provide endless opportunities for outdoor recreation.
