In 2011, the University of Utah’s Program in Personalized Health Care launched a strategic planning process, collecting feedback from more than 100 individual interviews, many hundreds of online comments and a two-day strategic planning retreat held in December 2011.
The resulting white paper documents the perceived “state of the field” among members of Utah’s broad clinical care, research and education interests, including important priorities and challenges, with the goal of establishing a common base of knowledge and understanding. It will serve as the launch point for refining and implementing the University’s strategic directions in personalized health care going forward.
We will take comments on the white paper via email to pphc@unite.utah.edu, through Tuesday, May 1, 2012. We welcome formative comments on Program activities anytime.

- Facilitate and support the development of clinical and research tools and practices that benefit Utah citizens and that can be used elsewhere.
- Educate clinicians and researchers in personalized health care-related practices.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with Intermountain Healthcare and other personalized health care-related organizations in Utah and nationwide.
