Notice of Privacy Practices - Your Rights (HIPAA)
University of Utah Health Care understands that your physical and mental health information is very personal and private. Every patient we serve is provided a Notice of Privacy Practices the first time they come to us for health services.
- The notice tells you how we use and/or disclose your information to make sure you get the best treatment, with as little inconvenience as possible, for you.
- The notice advises you, the patient, of your privacy rights in the control of your own health information.
We invite you to review our Notice of Privacy Practices to learn how we safeguard your information and what your rights are under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This document is the centerpiece of our privacy promise to you.
