Michael Simmons serves as Principal Data Engineer on the technical team at MGA, where he brings 15+ years of work experience supporting analytics products in healthcare and hospitality industries. His role builds on experiences with UofU Health at the Department/Division-level as a SQL developer with broad capabilities in statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining. Michael combines expertise in data quality with leadership experiences while developing data reporting structures to plan the design, and maintenance of the underlying architecture of investigator-initiated and enterprise-level projects for MGA customers. He is a certified Caboodle® and Cogito® developer within the Epic EHR, in addition to technical fluency with SQL, Teradata, Oracle, Tableau, and Excel.
