About Us
The Utah Addiction Center has been based in the office of the University of Utah Senior Vice President for Health Sciences since its inception in 2000. This unique administrative configuration positions the UAC under the immediate guidance of the University of Utah Senior Vice President for Health Sciences. Such an advantageous arrangement affords the Center direct connections to the colleges, schools and departments most likely to house the health-related disciplines and personnel requisite for successful interdisciplinary research on substance abuse. As an expression of administrative support, the UAC recently has been provided 2,000 square feet of new space in U of U Research Park. The suite consists of five offices, a spacious conference room, reception area, and a workroom.
